PALMER HOUSE, CHICAGO

Photography - Everly Collective

As a Chicago wedding planner specializing in luxury, design-focused celebrations, this historic Palmer House wedding was an absolute dream to bring to life. The couple envisioned a romantic Chicago wedding inspired by the elegance and drama of their favorite period dramas, and every detail was carefully designed to transport guests into another era. Held at the iconic Palmer House in downtown Chicago, the ceremony featured a breathtaking altar constructed entirely of antique-inspired candelabras, creating a warm, candlelit glow that felt timeless, intimate, and unforgettable. The dramatic ceremony design flowed seamlessly into the reception, where hundreds of flickering candles were paired with lush red, burgundy, and deep wine-colored florals, transforming the ballroom into a richly layered and romantic setting. The bride wore a stunning Kim Kassas wedding dress that perfectly captured the balance of modern bridal fashion and old-world charm, making her look feel effortlessly aligned with the overall wedding aesthetic.

This celebration was especially meaningful to me because it embraced everything I love about luxury wedding design, thoughtful storytelling, historic venues, and immersive guest experiences. With its ornate architecture, gilded ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and unmatched sense of grandeur, the Palmer House remains one of the most iconic Chicago wedding venues for couples seeking a romantic, historic, and truly unforgettable wedding in the heart of the city.
