As a Chicago wedding planner, I loved helping design and coordinate this timeless wedding celebration that beautifully blended family tradition with iconic Chicago locations. The day began at The Langham, Chicago, where the couple prepared for the festivities surrounded by the hotel’s refined elegance and stunning riverfront views. Before the ceremony, we captured portraits at the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Chicago, incorporating both the city's world-renowned architecture and the university’s historic Gothic beauty into their wedding photography. The couple held their ceremony at the bride’s family Serbian Orthodox Church, creating a deeply personal and heartfelt foundation for the day. Following the ceremony, approximately 100 guests gathered at Tortoise Supper Club for an intimate wedding reception filled with warmth, celebration, and classic Chicago charm. Rich in history and character, Tortoise Supper Club offered the perfect backdrop with its vintage-inspired interiors, cozy atmosphere, and unmistakable jazz club energy. The evening felt both sophisticated and welcoming, making it an ideal venue for couples seeking a Chicago wedding that combines historic elegance, intimate guest experiences, and a touch of old-school glamour.
