As a Chicago wedding planner, I absolutely loved planning this beautiful Serbian Orthodox wedding in September, a celebration that was filled with so much love, meaningful traditions, and timeless elegance. Rooted in Serbian Orthodox wedding traditions and surrounded by the love of family and friends, the day was a beautiful reflection of the couple’s connection, culture, and commitment to one another. The bride was absolutely breathtaking, looking like a real-life princess, while the groom complemented her perfectly in a celebration that felt both classic and deeply personal. I called the wedding design “An Introduction to Fall,” inspired by that beautiful transition between summer and autumn. We began moving away from the lighter, softer florals of summer and incorporated warmer, richer tones that hinted at the season ahead, creating an elegant wedding aesthetic that felt romantic, inviting, and effortlessly timeless. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to honor the significance of the day while bringing the couple’s vision to life. What made this Serbian Orthodox wedding especially meaningful was the beautiful balance of cherished cultural traditions and thoughtful design, creating a celebration that felt as heartfelt as it was stunning. It was such an honor to help bring this incredible day together and to witness the beginning of their marriage surrounded by so much love, beauty, and tradition.
